One of the places we like to visit when vacationing on Sanibel Island is Lovers Key State Park. The park is on Black Island, and while it offers excellent kayaking and a brilliant white sand beach, it doesn’t get the volume of visitors that other area attractions see. One reason might be that the shortest way to get there is a drive through Fort Myers Beach, a thin island that is woefully under equipped for the volume of traffic it supports.

I don’t like being stuck in traffic, but it did give me an opportunity to look intensely at our surroundings, and to photography this unique arrangement of street signs. Coincidence or on purpose?

I’ll leave it to you to decide if the message is accurate.
